Using mostly quality far eastern hardwoods such as Sabah or Majam a harder more durable timber than African Meranti but not as expensive as Mahogany.
This timber is very durable in this area and will take a good finish.
All windows are base coated with Sovereign SX70 in pine or mahogany before leaving the workshop. If futher coats are required on site Sovereign’s SX70 is highly recommended.
All windows are made in the traditional manner using only quality materials, hinges are stainless steel and window handles and ventilators are made of steel alloy by Titon.
The glazing is by means of argon gas filled units with planitherm total glass producing a better 'u' value than standard units. All units are bedded in butyl putty and beaded to ensure long life of the units.
Windows are mostly of the casement style which are the most economical and durable, but traditional sash and case windows can be made with single or double glazing where buildings may be listed or are in a conservation area.
